COVID-19 News
Vaccination Appointments
All Orange County (residents and those who can prove they work here) can now register to get their vaccine! OC Health Care Agency has created the Othena.com website, and this past week, it registered more than 104 million hits. To date, over 256,000 people have been registered through Othena, with an average of 12,000 registrations per hour. Due to high demand, the site only books 3 days out as we have more arms than vaccines at the moment. The app will contact each person via email when their tier and time is ready, and when there are enough vaccines, to schedule an appointment. Supervisor Don Wagner's Office shared, Orange County received ~20% of the vaccine allocation; 80% of the vaccines from the state went to private providers and hospitals, so please also check with your health care provider, local hospitals, and ambulance companies. The County is requesting the state send Orange County more vaccines ASAP.

Operation “Freedom by July 4” - 2 Million Vaccinated
As of January 17th, 88,539 individuals have received a first dose of the Covid19 vaccine and 20,272 have received a second dose. These numbers reflect total vaccinations provided by traditional healthcare providers as well as the Orange County Health Agency. Please do not give up trying to sign up for a vaccine. We hope the state releases more shots to Orange County, making the process easier for everyone.

We send a thank you to the Anaheim Fire Department and Anaheim employees for helping get the Disneyland Super Pod off the ground and continuing to assist in vaccinating as many people as quickly as possible.
Keep Anaheim Safe Campaign
A public awareness campaign to unite Anaheim in the fight against coronavirus and to get our city back open. The theme of the campaign is "Keep Anaheim Safe," or "Mantenga Anaheim Seguro" for our Spanish-speaking neighbors. The campaign urges you to fight COVID-19 in all that you do, whether at home with loved ones, at essential work, or on that essential trip to the grocery store.

In the past few weeks, thousands of yard signs, banners, window signs, and bus shelter posters have gone up around Anaheim. You'll also see the campaign on the Big A at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, at Honda Center, and at ARTIC. The sooner we get past coronavirus the sooner we'll get our city back open. So join us in fighting COVID in all you do. Learn more about this extensive program on the City of Anaheim's website. If you are interested in a sign for your business, please contact Kathleen Enge at (714) 758-0222.
