A new $500 million Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program for eligible small business owners and nonprofits is available. Grants are up to $25,000. |

Deadline to Apply for EIDL Extended to December 31, 2021 |

Economic Injury Disaster Loan applications will continue to be accepted through December 2021, pending the availability of funds.
Loans are offered at affordable terms. All eligible small businesses and nonprofits are encouraged to apply.

California STEP grant program opened the application window for Individual Company Export Program (ICEP) grants. The ICEP program is designed to reimburse eligible California small businesses up to $5,000 for eligible export promotion-related expenses. |

California Competes Tax Credit Application Period Opens |

Apply now for the California Competes Tax Credit! There are $80 million in tax credits available for businesses that are expanding and adding full-time jobs in California. The deadline to apply is Monday, January 25. View the application guide here.

Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris and senators Andreas Borgeas and Anna Caballero on January 6th unveiled new coalition support and legislative details of the Keep California Working Act otherwise known as Senate Bill 74, is a bipartisan $2.6 billion relief package for small businesses and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19.

Funds would provide an additional $575 million for California's small businesses, $777 million for The California Jobs Initiative, and funding for housing, EV adoption, workforce development initiatives, and fee waivers for some small businesses. |

SoCal Stay-at-Home Order Extended

Two weeks ago, state health officials extended Southern California’s stay-at-home order. The order has been in place since early December, closing many nonessential indoor spaces and discouraging gatherings. MINIMUM WAGE & SALARY
Statewide Minimum Wage - Effective 1/1/21, California’s minimum wage increased to $14 per hour for employers with 26 or more employees and $13 per hour for employers with 25 or fewer employees.
Statewide Minimum Salary - Effective 1/1/21, the minimum salary threshold for exempt employees increased to $58,240 per year for employers with 26 or more employees, and $54,080 per year for employees with 25 or fewer employees.
