Chamber Legislation Spotlight: AB 231 (Chen) Allows Fully Remote Shareholder/Member Meetings |

The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce has taken a "Support" position on AB 231 by Assemblyman Phillip Chen (R-Yorba Linda/Anaheim). This bill allows fully remote non-emergency shareholder/member meetings for cooperative corporations, public benefit corporations, mutual benefit corporations, and religious organizations. Passed by the Assembly in April and the Senate Banking & Financial Institutions Committee in June, AB 231 was approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, so it now heads to a vote on the Senate Floor. |

The County of Orange has launched a new online portal, OpenGov, to allow vendors to find opportunities to do business with the County government. Businesses can register with OpenGov to search for opportunities, submit bids/proposals, and subscribe to email notifications about opportunities. There is no cost for businesses to register for an account, search for opportunities, or submit bids/proposals in OpenGov.
