Boys & Girls Club of Anaheim
Last week the Anaheim Chamber was honored to be a part of the Boys & Girls Club of Anaheim event where Feed the Children and Power Crunch provided over $100,000 worth of Food, Back to School backpacks and school supplies, essentials, personal care items, specialty lunch boxes, and Disney Children's books to low income individuals and children struggling with food insecurity in Anaheim and the surrounding area.
Congressman Correa Hosting Grant Webinars
Join Adam Johns with SBA Orange County / Inland Empire District Office and the SBA’s resource partners SBDC, SCORE, and WBC as they present free webinars in collaboration with Congressman Lou Correa.

U.S. Chamber Weekly Update: Crime & Grid Reliability
Webinars/Immigration Data
Last week, the U.S. Chamber hosted two informative webinars. The first focused on the ongoing problem of organized retail crime, while the second focused on the reliability of the nation’s electricity grid. They have provided recordings of each webinar. Last week also marked the launch of their Immigration Data Center, which details how the immigration system contributes to workforce struggles.

Anaheim Transportation Network Awarded
$22.8 Public Transit Grant
Anaheim Transportation Network was recently awarded a $22.8M public transit grant to advance its zero-emission public transit system in Orange County. The grant, awarded by the California State Transportation Agency, will be used to purchase electric vehicles for current and future service routes, and enhanced services to connect neighborhoods with regional transportation opportunities such as Amtrak, Metrolink and OCTA services.
Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency’s Early
Paydown of $125 Million in Bond Debt
As part of the Agencies’ groundbreaking seven-year Strategic Plan, they executed the paydown by utilizing cash to pay off some of its bonds on the July 15, 2022, call date. The early paydown of bond principal that had a maturity date of 2053 is expected to save the Agency approximately $180 million in interest payments.
