Anaheim Council Approves $2.1 Billion Budget with $20 Million in New Spending |
|

|
Last week, the Anaheim City Council approved a $2.1 billion budget for FY 2023-24, the City’s spending plan for July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024. The budget adds $20 million in new funding for the Police Department, Fire Department, senior programs, parks, sidewalks, and homeless services. Within that amount, there is an additional $2 million for the Business Storefront Improvement program, $3.1 million for homeless services, $3 million for 12 police officers, $2 million for sidewalk replacement, $1.5 million for six firefighters, $1.3 million to increase operating days at five library branches, $1 million for citywide landscaping, $800,000 to upgrade the citywide permitting system, and $600,000 for six police school resource officers. |
