The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce welcomed a sold out crowd to our Annual Luncheon at Angel Stadium. Thank you to Angels Baseball and the Anaheim City Council Members for participating in this event, which connects the team, the community, and Anaheim businesses together in a meaningful and memorable way. Everyone enjoyed stories from three generations of Angels pitchers: current player Patrick Sandoval and legends Chuck Finley and Clyde Wright. We were excited to welcome the Loara Little League to the luncheon, who were graciously sponsored by Visit Anaheim. This event would not have been possible without our sponsors and business partners: Visit Anaheim, SA Recycling, Manheim California, Republic Services, Stovall's Hotels of Anaheim, Anaheim Transportation Network, Brewery X, LiUNA! Local 652, ocV!BE, Pacific Western Bank and Radiant Futures.

Deadline Passes for State Legislative Houses to Send Each Other Bills
(Anaheim Chamber of Commerce) Friday, June 2 was this year's "House of Origin" deadline for the State Assembly to send bills to the State Senate and for the State Senate to send bills to the State Assembly. Two bills declared job creators by the CalChamber have succeeded in progressing to the other house, as AB 52 (Grayson) passed the Assembly (expanding sales and use tax exemption to buy manufacturing and R&D equipment) and SB 301 (Portantino) passed the Senate (incentive for components of aftermarket conversion to zero emissions vehicles). Two bills opposed by CalChamber were stopped by the deadline while ten bills designated by CalChamber as job killer bills remain alive. Assembly bills now await hearings in Senate committees, and Senate bills now await hearings in Assembly committees.
