New Chief of Police Rick Armendariz

Anaheim's new Police Chief, Rick Armendariz, will be speaking to the Chamber's Government Affairs meeting on Friday, November 17. Armendariz was sworn in as Anaheim's 37th police chief on August 8, 2023, succeeding Jorge Cisneros who had been chief for five years. Before becoming Chief of Police this summer, Armendariz had been Anaheim's Deputy Chief since 2019. The Government Affairs meeting will be an opportunity for attendees to hear from the new chief, learn about his plans for the Anaheim Police Department, and ask him questions about issues of concern. There is no charge to attend the meeting, and lunch is included. | |

In Remembrance of Mike Andersen | |
Michael Andersen was a resident of Anaheim and proud owner of Veteran Air. A U.S. Army veteran, Michael served his country as a combat infantryman, including a tour of duty in Iraq during 2004-2005. In 2020, the LA Times recognized Veteran Air as “Best in OC in Heating and Air Conditioning.” Andersen, a U.S. Army veteran, was honored as Grand Marshal for the 2021 Anaheim Hills 4th of July Parade.
From delivering free holiday hams to truckloads of shovels during a snowstorm, Andersen’s commitment to helping others was steadfast.
