Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
On October 13, the American Cancer Society (ACS) officially launched the Orange County CEOs Against Cancer Chapter with a welcome reception at The Anaheim Hotel!

Founding members, Dara Maleki (Chair) CEO, The Pizza Press, Kris Murray (Vice Chair) CEO, KLM Strategies, Natalie Rubalcava COO, Orange County Business Council, and Paul Sanford CEO, Wincome Hospitality, will focus on health-equity, transportation & lodging. This remarkable group of community leaders and influencers is working to ensure no one in OC goes without access to quality care.

Oktoberfest Fun Continues at Phoenix Club
An unexpected last Oktoberfest hurrah continues at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim for one more weekend. The Phoenix Club’s Oktoberfest finishes Sunday, Oct. 23; hours are 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday and 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, and noon to
5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets must be purchased online and are $20 for adults. Friday and Saturday nights are 21+ only. Sunday is open to families.
Anaheim Ducks 5K Challenge
Join the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday, Nov. 13 at Great Park in Irvine. Coach's 5K Challenge presented by Arrowhead Water and benefitting Anaheim Ducks Foundation.
Alzheimer's Awareness Month
November is Alzheimer's Awareness Month and Anaheim Chamber Ambassador Kristen Maahs-Kolberg will be giving a presentation called Keeping Your Brain Healthy at the Downtown Anaheim Senior Center at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 2. You are all invited! Topics of discussion include the six pillars of brain health and how you can reduce your risk of cognitive decline.

California Department of Rehabilitation and the Institute
for Workplace Skills and Innovation America
On November 10, 2022 the California Department of Rehabilitation and the Institute for Workplace Skills and Innovation America will host an apprenticeship fair for disabled students and other interested participants in the Anaheim area. The purpose of the fair is to demonstrate apprenticeship career pathways, particularly for individuals with disabilities who have experienced challenges in finding meaningful careers, and to connect potential employees with employers.

They are looking for a sponsor to contribute refreshments (coffee & donuts) for this event. 200 attendees anticipated.
