The Anaheim Chamber is pleased to announce the return of in-person networking events, and this month, we are thrilled to be hosted by the all-new Craft by Smoke & Fire. Join us in welcoming this new restaurant to Anaheim by attending our networking lunch.  

The networking lunch provides an opportunity for attendees to learn about each other’s businesses while expanding their business network. Bring business cards and prepare an excellent 30-second introduction. Promote your business further by donating a door prize, which is raffled off at the end of the meeting. Every attendee can drop a business card at the door and get a chance to win one of the great door prizes.

Last Thursday, the Element Hotel celebrated its Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The Anaheim Chamber, Mayor, Members of City Council and staff, Visit Anaheim, and hotel executives welcomed the new hotel. 

Element Hotels has redefined the longer stay experience with a design philosophy that encourages guests to recharge and find focus. This approach is seen throughout the 174-room Element Anaheim Resort Convention Center, located at 1600 South Clementine Street. Guest rooms at the longer-stay, eco-friendly hotel feature the brand's signature fully equipped kitchens and spa-inspired bathrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and streaming services. The Element Anaheim Resort Convention Center features an assortment of suites, including family-friendly Kids Suites which offer bunk beds.
Reborn Cabinet Hosts Local High School Student
For Manufacturing Day
Reborn Cabinets recently hosted Manufacturing Day for local Anaheim high schools. This day is recognized as a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Founders Vinny & Brenda Nardo welcomed local students to their 40,000-square-foot showroom and manufacturing facility on La Palma Ave. in Anaheim.

Attorney General Bonta Responds to Call for Clarity
on COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates
Statewide business leaders asked the California Attorney General for clarity on protections for businesses that implement vaccine requirements. The Attorney General’s response offers these resources to employers considering vaccine and/or COVID-19 testing mandates:
The U.S. Chamber, National Business Roundtable, and healthcare partners also created excellent resources and a comprehensive toolkit for employers to communicate with employees about getting vaccinated effectively.

Nominated for Prestigious Award
Orange County Clerk-Recorder’s Hitched at Honda Center through Marriage Services is nominated for the Business Retention and Expansion Award from the National Association of Counties! Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen opened safe in-person marriage services during the pandemic using portable ticket booths at the Honda Center. Hitched at Honda Center issued 16,838 marriage licenses and performed 8,252 marriage ceremonies between March and Dec. 2020. The Clerk-Recorder’s office assisted 25% more appointments than any previous year

Mentors for the Class of 2022
Help the Class of 2022 – Become a Mentor

To ensure the Class of 2022 stays on track and graduates on time, Orange County United Way has developed a mentorship program in tandem with a robust virtual workshop series to encourage and empower local high school seniors in need. Mentors will provide students with the motivation and confidence they need to succeed.

Volunteer Mentors:
  • Be a role model
  • Offer professional career guidance and exposure to your network
  • Make a positive difference in a student’s life
  • Play a critical role in preparing the workforce of the future

Volunteer Requirements:
  • Be part of an Orange County United Way corporate partner company, current partner agency, or affinity group
  • Have completed a 2 to 4-year college / university education
  • Have at least 3 years of career experience
  • Complete an orientation mandated reporter training & background check
  • Commit to monthly mentorship development workshops with your mentee.

Program Timeline (3 pm to 5 pm):
  • 12/9/21 Orientation
  • 1/13/21 Ice Breakers & Introductions
  • Feb – May Monthly virtual workshop and meeting with mentee
  • June Culmination and Celebration

Angels in the Community
Casa Teresa Magical Build Day

Members of the Angels Family teamed up with Magical Builders to renovate and refresh Orange County's Casa Teresa Homeless Shelter as part of the Magical Build Day on September 23rd. The group transformed apartments and beautified living spaces for pregnant women who call Casa Teresa home. The Angels take pride in contributing to our community and strengthening relationships with organizations that support local residents.

Broken Timbers has teamed up with Patriots and Paws to provide a Thanksgiving feast for veterans this Thanksgiving. 

On October 10th, they kick off their fundraiser with a Car Show from 11 am - 2 pm and live music from 1-3 pm! From then until November 17th, come down to the brewery and donate canned goods! When you do, you will be entered into a drawing to win prizes!
