The Anaheim Chamber Hosts ReOpen OC Now Press Conference
Calls for Governor to Issue Theme Park Guidelines for ReOpening
This morning Chamber President Todd Ament led a press conference this morning with Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu, Buena Park Mayor Fred Smith and Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones. They were joined by tourism industry, small business and labor leaders. The media event's focus was to highlight the region's economic impacts as Disneyland enters its six-month closure. Speakers called for Governor Newsom to release theme park guidelines so the Resort and other theme parks can prepare to reopen. The six month closure of the Resort has resulted in a $1.3 billion economic impact to the county in total loss revenue. This call to action comes as the City of Anaheim experiences a $100 million budget deficit.

The Anaheim Chamber encourages you to use the link below to write a brief email to the Governor asking for the release of theme park guidelines.

Please go to ReOpenocnow.com and TAKE ACTION To ReOpen OC NOW by sharing your thoughts with the Governor’s Office.
