Hello Brian,

As we reach the halfway point of February, we want to remind all of our neighbors that there is still a lot going on around town, including a number of programs to celebrate Black History Month. As a Town, we are beginning the process of building the Town Budget for the upcoming 2024 Fiscal Year. This process will ramp up during the month of March and it is a very open and transparent process. In the next few weeks, we will publish a Neighbors' Budget Guide, which will be a useful tool to learn more about the budgeting process.

As always, we remind you all to follow us on social media for the latest news and information!

Do you know that a unified vision for growth does not exist in Bloomfield?

Well, it’s time to get started, and we need your help!

The Town of Bloomfield has started to update its Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD). This is required by the State of Connecticut. It is a comprehensive plan, addressing all facets of life in Town, including land use, housing, open space, economic development, infrastructure, social services, transportation, culture, and much more.

The POCD is an important plan and process. Why? It will let the Town review how things have changed over the past 10 years, assess where it stands, and determine if and how it needs to change in the future. The final Plan will serve as a policy guide to guide the Town’s policies, budgets, capital investments, and grant pursuits for the coming decade.
