Operation Fuel

Beginning Tuesday, August 1, 2023, Operation Fuel is administering an energy assistance program for clients who need aid with meeting their home energy needs (electricity, gas, and deliverable fuels). This program will be for households living up to 75% of state median income. The maximum grant amount will be up to $500 per household, one time per year.

Deputy Tax Collector


The purposes of this position involve the routine receiving and recording of tax payments, balancing cash receipts and performing other technical and clerical work for both the Town and the two Bloomfield Fire Districts, consistent with policies and procedures, applicable laws and statutory responsibilities of tax collection. The work involves the billing and collection of Personal Property, Motor Vehicle and Real Property taxes; recording such revenues and maintaining records pertinent to the collection function; calculating interest or penalties, recording, reconciling receipts; preparing deposits; and answering customer inquiries pertaining to the collection of taxes.


After School Program Director


Non-benefited part-time seasonal position in the Leisure Services Department approximately 20-25 hours during the school year. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and conducting various after school recreation activities for school age youths. Coordinates and directs all weekly programs and activities. Plans, organizes and supervises special events and programs. Assists in training new and returning staff. Responsible for all daily records, which include but not limited to staff time sheets, accident and incident reports, daily attendance sheets, first aid log and afternoon bus usage lists.
