The Prevention Services Clearinghouse recently published and released the Handbook of Standards and Procedures, Version 2.0, which is now available online. Advancing Social and Economic Mobility

USDA Invests $100 Million to Support SUN Programs


The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently announced that it will provide $100 million in grants to help states, tribal nations, and U.S. territories implement SUN Bucks. SUN Bucks, also known as Summer Electronic benefit transfer (Summer EBT), is part of USDA’s Summer Nutrition Programs for Kids, which lowers costs for families and improves food and nutrition security during summer break when kids lose access to school meals.

ACF Announces New Tribal MIECHV Awards


The Administration for Children and Families announced $3 million in new awards to six tribal entities as part of the Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program. The MIECHV program develops and strengthens tribal capacity to support and promote the health and well-being of expectant families and families with young children aged birth to kindergarten entry in American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

Grant Opportunity: Hospital-Based Adoption-Sensitive Care Training


ACF announces a Hospital-Based Adoption-Sensitive Care Training grant opportunity. The purpose of this grant is to improve access to training and technical assistance on adoption-sensitive care for hospital-based service providers, including doctors, nurses, and staff. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations focused on adoption that partner with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and community organizations. The current due date is set for July 31, 2024.

WEBINAR: Implementing Section 304 of the Fiscal Responsibility Act


The Office of Family Assistance (OFA) will be hosting a webinar where they will review the interim final rule on TANF Work Outcomes Measures and provide technical guidance for preparing and submitting three new reports for the measures: Work Outcomes of TANF Exiters Report (quarterly), the required Secondary School Diploma or its Recognized Equivalent Attainment Rate (annually), and the Supplemental Work Outcomes Report (annually).
