Public Safety Telecommunications
Week!
During the second full week of April, we honor the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community. This week-long event was initially set up in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California. During this time, we'd like to thank those who sacrifice everything to help serve our community. We encourage you all to celebrate the occasion and honor those who make sacrifices to better our community.

We at PORAC thank all telecommunications personnel for their dedication!
Listen to Shanna Jackson's tribute to public safety dispatchers below!
As a public safety dispatcher for over 14 years and also a singer/songwriter, Shanna Jackman combines her two passions in life in order to bring light to the hard work dispatchers face each and every day.
