Dr. Angelina Whalley, curator of Body Worlds, and Dr. Gunther von Hagens, inventor of plastination and creator of Body Worlds, invited COMP-Northwest Professor Brion Benninger, MD, MSc, executive director of the Medical Anatomy Center, to create and produce an informative video integrating the Body Worlds “Cycle of Life” for touring Body Worlds exhibits and several other learning environments. The educational video was developed for middle school, high school, university students and communities unable to attend the Body Worlds “Cycle of Life” exhibit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Four COMP-Northwest students - Christopher Cariello, Madeleine Stack, Adam Garman and Steven Mayberry - and Candice Mayberry, LMT, contributed to the shoot.
Special thanks to Chris Cariello for taking on added responsibilities during editing/filming and to Steven Mayberry for filming much of the live presentations. Heartfelt thanks to OMSI leadership and staff for being tremendous hosts as we filmed in the early mornings and late evenings. Lastly, our team and Body Worlds want to thank all those who graciously donated themselves so we may all learn and improve the health care of our communities.
