IE Latino Voices featuring

CGN Dean Mary Lopez, PhD, MSN, RN

WesternU College of Graduate Nursing Dean Mary Lopez, PhD, MSN, RN, appeared on IE Latino Voices, hosted by Yvette Walker on KVCR 91.9 FM, a public radio station owned by San Bernardino Community College District. Dean Lopez talked about the nursing shortage and how CGN prepares nurses to give excellent patient care and to lead interprofessional teams.

Halloween costume contest

Western University of Health Sciences’ Student Government Association (SGA) held its annual Halloween Costume Contest on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, on the Pomona, California campus. Prizes were awarded for first and second place in the categories of Most Creative, Best Group, and Best Doppelganger costumes.

“Starfire” won first place for Most Creative costume, “Pitbull” earned first place for Best Doppelganger, and Huntr/x and Saja Boys took home first place for Best Group costume.

In collaboration with the costume contest, the Office of the President and the Office of the Provost provided free pizza.
