A Great Twenty Years
A Letter From Pat Shields

In just a few short days, I will be retiring from being Bethel's Database Administrator, a position that I have held for the past twenty years, first as a volunteer, then as a staff member.  The personal rewards have been very meaningful, as we moved from the database's initial creation through its modifications and expansions over the years, to meet the changing requirements of Bethel.

However, one of the most important aspects of my position has always been the relationships and friendships that have been formed and continue today within Bethel.   As I retire, I shall miss them and each of you, individually, that I have crossed paths with over these twenty years.

I pray that Bethel will continue to meet each future challenge successfully, and that with next year's worldwide COVID-19 vaccination program, it will be possible for a sense of normalcy to return to our wonderful, unique, Bethel faith community.

- Pat Shields

Bethel's Global Christmas 2020
Giving to God's Children Around the World

Bethel's Global Mission Team has assembled a variety of gift opportunities for each of our Global Mission partners. We hope you will be inspired to honor family and/or friends with a gift that goes far beyond traditional giving and moves us closer to the true spirit of Christmas... of Christian love, and service to others. Of lifting up our brothers and sisters in Christ, even thousands of miles away. Whether the thought of a sleepy head with a full tummy in loving care at one of our partner orphanages, or perhaps a young woman at MaaSAE Girls Lutheran Secondary School in Tanzania receiving needed textbooks or lab supplies, or helping the children at Escuela Integrada overcome poverty through education, or maybe the gift of a brighter future, of surgery and "new" legs to run on - the opportunities are here! Visit the Global Missions page for more information!
