Luther League - Bethel’s Sr. High Youth Group is holding a 100 Envelope Challenge!
What is a 100 Envelope Challenge? There are 100 envelopes on a poster board in the narthex. Each envelope in the series represents a donation amount. You take an envelope, fill out the slip of paper, and place cash/check or pay online the dollar amount on the front of the envelope. You can place the envelope in the offering plate or drop it off at the office for Kim Williams.
If you want to put more than that amount in, that is totally allowed! The goal of the challenge is to have every envelope sponsored and turned in to the office by the end of May. If we get a supporter for each of the 100 envelopes for only the dollar amounts on the envelopes, we will raise $5,050. We are hoping to raise enough money for the youth to attend Camp Caroline Furnace and be able to get a jump on fundraising for National Youth Gathering!

Bright Futures will be accepting donations through the month of May. There will be a basket in the hallway of Fellowship Hall for single serve easy open food items to be distributed to children in Frederick County and Winchester. We came up with the idea to honor Judy McKienan who was a champion of children and a true Bright Futures advocate. Some of the suggested items are Trial Mix, Rice Crispy Treats, Oatmeal Cookies, Animal Crackers, Goldfish Crackers, Popcorn, Real Fruit Snacks, All natural fruit crisps, Single Serve cookies, Raisins/fruit n'yogurt snacks. items should be something a child 5-18 years of age would eat, (all packaged single serve) Please no glass containers, no expired food. If you have any questions, please contact Sara Smith at (540) 662-4774 or Diane Milburn at (tdmilburn94@gmail.com) or follow the link below. | |
