Commons Area Mural
This vibrantly colored 10 ft x 14 ft mural was created by the High School Art 1 students.

This piece was a collaborative work created by 75 of our Artists to bring color and joy to our student commons area.

The 2019 Barry Walker Memorial Math Tournament
was a great success!

We had 26 Alabama schools and over 350 students participating in Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II.

The 100+ members of the BCS chapter of Mu Alpha Theta hosted the event and they did a great job along side the math department teachers who work very hard each year to put on this event.
Show Choirs Perform Well
On Saturday, Jan. 26, our show choirs, Radica and Karis, journeyed to Jackson, MS for the Show Choir Masters Competition at Jackson Prep HS.

Our Radica guys and girls brought home a 2nd place category trophy and scored high enough to make the finals with the large show choirs.
Our Karis girls brought home their first competition trophy for 2nd place.
Most importantly "The Patriot Award" was presented to both Karis and Radica. This award is voted on by all the workers and volunteers from the competition.

It was awarded to BCS for the 2nd year in a row for being the group that embodies the spirit of the competition by setting the best example, being the most helpful, and respectful of others.
