October 8 - 12
Our Homecoming Theme for this year is
Honoring Our Military !

Much planning has and continues to be done to make this a wonderful week (October 8-12) and Homecoming Day for alumni and our military families and friends.

Homecoming Week is much more than Homecoming activities. High school students in grades 9-11 are taking the PSAT and Pre-ACT on Wednesday morning, October 10th, and we hope to see many of you for parent-teacher conferences for high school and junior high.

On Thursday, October 11th, we will have our Briarwood’s Got Talent competition, the annual powder puff game , and the Blue and Gold BCS Alumni Cross Country run.

On Friday, October 12th, the day is filled with activities for students, parents, alumni, and military personnel. Starting with the High School Pep Rally at 11am, the Parade at the North Campus at 1:30, the Alumni Dinner at 5:00,  BCS Band Performance prior to football game at 6:30 pm, recognizing/ Honoring of all Military Members (both active and veteran) prior to football game at 6:40 pm, opening Prayer by Congressman Gary Palmer before kick-off, and the halftime ceremony - Presentation of the 2018 Homecoming Court and Crowning of the new Homecoming Queen.

Please pray with us that the Lord will bless all the activities.

Service Project K-12
Care Package Ministry for the Soldiers

This year, our BCS Homecoming Theme will honor the military. As part of this theme, we will participate in a school wide service project to collect items for the Support our Soldiers organization.

This organization was created by the Rivers Family when their son, former Briarwood graduate, Thomas Rivers, was killed as he served our country. Thomas’ sister, Mrs. Rachel Walters, serves as a first grade teacher on the Lower School Campus. Mrs. Walters and her family created this organization to support those who serve in all branches of the military. This organization sends care packages to troops around the world.
