Please join us as we stand together in community during the war in Israel. All services at CEH now include prayers for the wellbeing of those impacted by the war in Israel, the safety of its citizens and the safe return of the hostages.

The CEH community has been matched with the Masorti Kehillah (congregation) of Kfar Vradim in northern Israel as a "sister synagogue" through the Conservative-Masorti Movement. Tragically, a member of their community, Romi Gonen (age 23) was abducted by Hamas. A chair with a siddur and draped with a tallit remains empty in our first row as we pray for and wait for her return to her family.

Chesed Community

CEH's Chesed Community is here to help you. Members serve other members as a “kindness community,” providing assistance with anything from dog-walking after surgery to providing meals while sitting shiva to providing temporary care for a family member so the caregiver can run errands.

To activate the Chesed Community (either far-in-advance or on an emergency basis), e-mail [email protected]. If this concerns the passing of a family member, please contact the Rabbi first.

New ADL Hotline

New Campus Antisemitism Legal Line

Hillel International, ADL (the Anti-Defamation League), the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP have launched the Campus Antisemitism Legal Line (CALL), a free legal protection helpline for students who have experienced antisemitism. With antisemitism on campus reaching all-time highs since Oct. 7, this new resource comes at a critical moment for the Jewish community. Click here to learn more.

Any student, family, faculty, or staff member can go to the CALL website or text “CALLhelp” to 51555 to report incidents of antisemitic discrimination, intimidation, harassment, vandalism, or violence that may necessitate legal action.

Mazel Tov Moments

Each month we will be celebrating the special occasions of CEH members in an email. If you have a Mazel Tov Moment to include for yourself, a family member, or a CEH friend, please submit here.
