Beginner’s Yiddish
In response to popular requests, we are continuing our BEGINNERS’ YIDDISH CLASS AT CSFA! Eve Jochnowitz, a CSFA member and a Yiddish instructor at Yivo and the Workers’ Circle, has agreed to teach the course again.
Course Goals: A basic course for students with some familiarity with the Alef-beys. The class will practice listening, reading, speaking, and writing Yiddish in easily accessible situations.
Course Tools: Yiddish: An Introduction to the Language, Literature & Culture, Vol. 1
by Sheva Zucker with supplementary basic reading texts and songs provided by the instructor.

This will be an in-person class and knowledge of the aleph – beys is required.
There will be a thorough review of the material covered last year.
The plan is for seven sessions during the months of May and June – on the evenings of
May 14, May 21, May 28, June 4, June 11, June 25 and July 2 at 6:30.
The cost for the series of 7 classes is $140 per person, and we need 10 people to register in order for us to proceed. If you register and we do not get 10 people, we will, of course, refund your money.
