Prevent Poverty by Purchasing Pigs
This month, we are collecting money to donate pigs to needy families overseas through Episcopal Relief and Development.  So far, we’ve collected enough to donate 8 pigs!  A pig donation can help ease hunger, fertilize crops, and raise income. Your gift of a pig has the power to uplift entire communities. A whole pig is $100 and a share of a pig is $20. However, any amount is welcomed because we are going to aggregate the donations to buy as many pigs as possible. Please write Pigs in the notes portion of your donation and put it in the collection plate. If you’d like to donate cash, there are envelopes in the Narthex. Also, write your name (or your honoree’s name) on the pig in the Narthex and tape it to the pigpen poster.
Lord’s Dinner
Each week, an average of 100 men, women and children receive a free hot meal through The Lord’s Dinner program. Chapel of Our Saviour hosts the dinner three times a year.  We are looking for volunteers to cook, serve, and clean on June 2nd between 4:00 and 7:30 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church kitchen in Old Colorado Springs. Please contact Liz at (719) 578-9061 if you would like to volunteer. Volunteers under 18 need to give Liz a signed release of liability form that can be downloaded at https://www.chapelofoursaviour.com/s/MINOR-VOLUNTEER-PARENTAL-CONSENT-FORM-AND-RELEASE-OF-LIABILITY-ps2c.docx
The Thrift House – Volunteers Needed
We invite you to join us in volunteering at the Episcopal Church Women's Thrift House. One 3-hour shift makes a lot of difference. Childcare is available. Prayerfully consider if you could give us a few hours to help make a difference. Remember, that the volunteer hours translate into outreach dollars, and the need in our community is great. Your help is always appreciated.
