LAB NEWS
Important School Reminders
  • Lower School Drop-Off: During morning arrival, you have the option to park in the parking lot located at 422 E. 9th Street and walk your child in or drop off in the car-rider line. Please do not park on the side of 9th street and let your children out; it is a safety hazard for children and causes traffic along 9th street.
  • TAPS Drop In Care: Please make sure you submit a Transportation Change form when using TAPS for drop in care. Once you reach the "Method of Transportation," select "Other" and notate that your child will be going to TAPS for Drop In Care.
  • For Early Pick-Up, Arrive Before 3:00 pm. If you are picking your child up early, please arrive prior to 3:00 pm. This applies to both campuses.
  • No Toys at School, Please! Students should only bring school-related or school supply items to school. Unless there is a special assignment by a teacher or advisor to bring a personal item such as a toy, it should stay at home so it is not tempting to take out of a book bag or binder. This includes stuffed animals, squishy toys, slime/putty, Pokemon cards, etc.
Order Lunch Now for September 24 - October 5
Deadline to order is Tuesday, September 18 at 4:00 pm. For ordering information, payment options, and menus, visit the Lunch Tab of the Parent Section on the school website.
Introducing Our New Wellness Intern
Charlotte Lab School is excited to announce that Molly Warner will join the team as intern to the Director of Wellness for the remainder of the school year. Molly is a Lab School parent as well as an experienced therapist who brings an array of skills to our community. Molly will help with future wellness initiatives, present guidance material in classrooms, and run a variety of counseling groups. We are thrilled to have her and are certain your children will enjoy her creative skills and joyful spirit. Learn more about Molly here.
Save Your Box Tops!
Believe it or not, Lab school made close to $1000 from Box Tops last year!

It’s a simple way to earn free money for our school. Simply look for the box tops on packaged items, clip them out, and send them in with your child. We will begin collecting for this school year on Friday, October 5. At the end of each trimester, the homeroom that has collected the most will get a pizza party.
