Intersession 2025 Preparations


BUMC Facilities would like to conserve energy over Intersession in non-occupied spaces. You can find a list of steps here to follow before leaving on holiday break.

12/17 Router Upgrade Work


On Dec. 17, from midnight to 6:30 a.m., BUMC IS&T will be performing a hardware upgrade of the networking equipment servicing the buildings listed below. This work will cause outages in each building as the connections are shifted. This outage could last through the entire change window.


  • 100 East Newton St. (Dental)
  • 609 Albany St. (J)
  • 610 Albany St. (610 garage)
  • 650 Albany St. (X)
  • 670 Albany St.
  • 700 Albany St. (W)
  • 710 Albany St. (710 garage)
  • 750 Albany St. (power plant)

2026 Whorl Magazine Submissions Open

Whorl, the BUMC literary magazine founded in 1995, showcases the creative art of students, faculty and staff of the Medical Campus. Whorl is produced by the Creative Arts Society. The 2026 edition is returning to continue its mission to encourage creativity and celebrate the healing power of the arts. Whorl welcomes: paintings and digital art, photography, fashion, short prose, dance and music performances (new feature!), poetry and more! 


Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on Dec. 19. Please use the submission link here for submission requirements and to submit your work.
