During the week of Dec. 18-22, Chequers and Peets will be open from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday.

BUMC Facilities would like to conserve energy over Intersession in non-occupied spaces. Click here for a list of steps to follow before leaving on holiday break as we head into Intersession.


W Building Construction Project Update


Week of Dec. 18

Next week crews will be demolishing Air Handler 4 concrete pad and associated piping. Crews also will be demolishing existing small air handlers and duct work on level 11 and continue installing Exhaust Air Handler 1 on the roof. The occupants should expect moderate to high impact throughout the week.

Deadline Extended: Submissions Sought for Whorl BUMC Literary Magazine


Whorl, the BUMC literary magazine founded in 1995 and produced by the Creative Arts Society, showcases the creative art of Medical Campus students, faculty and staff. The 2024 edition is returning to continue its mission to encourage creativity and celebrate the healing power of the arts. Whorl welcomes: paintings and digital art, photography, fashion (new feature!), short prose, dance and music performances (new feature!), poetry, and more!

Retirement Reception for David Keough

Please join us to celebrate the many contributions of David Keough, who has announced his plans to retire after serving for ~40 years as a photographer for the school and medical campus.


David joined our community in November 1984 and over the years has captured thousands of images of our faculty, staff, students and events. We are grateful for his contributions to our history. David’s last day will be Jan. 19, 2024.

Anti-Racism in Addiction Treatment: What Our Community Members Are Teaching Us About How Treatment Needs to Change
