Save the date for our annual Martin Luther King Luncheon, where we will honor Dr. King’s legacy of service, justice and community by highlighting the impactful work of student-led organizations at the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. This year we are proud to introduce student groups whose mission’s advance equity, advocacy and meaningful engagement across our campus and the Greater Boston community.

  • The Disability Advocacy Team (DAT) amplifies the experiences of people with disabilities and chronic conditions. Through advocacy, curriculum change and community education, DAT fosters a culture that recognizes disability as an essential identity and ensures that people of all abilities can thrive.
  • Anatomy Academy is a community-based program where medical students engage K–12 learners through fun lessons and hands-on activities to promote healthy lifestyle habits and basic human anatomy. By serving as role models and mentors, they aim to inspire early interest in STEM and future careers in medicine.
  • The Outreach Van Project (OVP) provides consistent, dependable support to medically underserved communities in Greater Boston while expanding access to essential health services. Founded in 1997, OVP continues to offer students meaningful opportunities to learn community outreach skills while building trust with clients across the city.

Lunch will be served.
