Matthew Kendall Named Distinguished Staff of the Month for December

Jorge A. Soto, MD, Elected to RSNA Board of Directors


His seven-year term includes five years as liaison for international affairs, in the sixth year he will be chair of the board, and in the seventh year he will serve as president of the society.

Distinguished Faculty of the Month: To recognize faculty service to the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine community, please submit your nominations here. All school faculty are eligible for nominations.


Distinguished Staff of the Month: To recognize staff who provide exceptional commitment and service to the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine community, please submit your nominations here. All school and BMC staff who directly support the academic, teaching, and research missions of the school, (e.g., coordination of clerkship rotations) are eligible.

Submissions Sought for Whorl BUMC Literary Magazine


Whorl, the BUMC literary magazine founded in 1995, showcases the creative art of students, faculty and staff of the Medical Campus. Whorl is produced by the Creative Arts Society. The 2024 edition is returning to continue its mission to encourage creativity and celebrate the healing power of the arts. 

 

Whorl welcomes: paintings and digital art, photography, fashion (new feature!), short prose, dance and music performances (new feature!), poetry, and more! 

 

Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on Dec. 15, 2023. Please use the submission link here for submission requirements and to submit your work.

W Building Construction Project Update


Week of Dec. 4

Next week crews will be on the roof working on the steel installation points. Later in the week crews will begin the demolition of Air Handler 4 and the associated concrete and piping. Building occupants should expect lower impact Monday and Tuesday, with impact increasing Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
