New BU Website Promotes Campus Discourse


Check out the comprehensive new website on civility and campus discourse highlighting BU’s core principles and sharing information about educational opportunities, campus resources, policies, points of contact, and special events.

 

A ‘Campus Discourse’ category has been added to the lefthand tab on the BU Calendar website that allows you to post events unique to this topic. This could include religious life, learning opportunities in the context of current societal conflicts, and special discussions aimed at finding common ground and promoting constructive dialogue on issues of disagreement.

Send Match Day Best Wishes to MD Class of 2024


The SCOMSA Match Day Committee would like to give faculty and staff the opportunity to send well wishes to the Class of 2024 on their Match Day! Record a short (<30 seconds) video that will be shown to the class before envelopes open. Please upload videos to this form before Thursday, Feb. 29, if you would like to be included.

AOA Accepting Nominations for Faculty, Residents and Fellows


The school chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Medical Honor Society is accepting applications for faculty members, residents and fellows for induction into AOA.


Please submit nomination letters for deserving candidates that outline their academic, leadership, service and professionalism accomplishments in the BU/BMC community. Residents must have finished their PGY-1 year, and faculty must be faculty at the school. 


Nominations also must include the nominee’s CV as well as the nominator’s name, role at BU/BMC and relation to the nominee. 


For consideration, please send nominations to alumcamed@bu.edu by March 1.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality. Strike a pose, #InspireInclusion, and submit your photo or a story by March 5.

W Building Construction Project Update


Week of Feb. 26

Next week crews will continue welding structural steel and black iron piping on level 11 and the roof. Additionally, crews will continue building Air Handler 4 and the Konvekta Energy Recovery system. The expected impact for next week is similar to what was experienced this week.

This annual two-day accredited conference celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2024! It is designed for practicing clinicians who have an interest, passion or emerging expertise in developmental and behavioral pediatrics and want to take their knowledge and skill to the next level.
