Faculty Regalia for 2025 Master's and MD & PhD Convocations
The 2025 Convocation Ceremonies for Master's, PhD and MD students are just around the corner. The GMS Master's Ceremony will take place on May 15 at 10 a.m. and the MD & PhD Ceremony will be held on May 15 at 3 p.m. Both ceremonies will take place at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
New for this year! Faculty will need to reserve their own regalia. An email from the University Provost was sent on Monday, Feb. 10 regarding this. If you do not own your own robes, you may order rental robes (at no cost to you) through the University’s cap and gown vendor, Herff Jones by filling out the order form here. More detail on how to fill out the order form can be found here. Everyone marching in any Commencement Ceremony must wear regalia in order to participate.
Important Deadlines: The deadline to order regalia is March 3.
Please contact Claire Grimble with any faculty-related questions or concerns related to either ceremony. Please contact Kimberly Arena with questions or concerns related to the GMS Master’s Ceremony. Please contact Nichole Ciccarelli with any questions or concerns regarding the MD & PhD Ceremony.

Our student and trainee population face many stressors including academic and financial responsibilities, work-life balance, and socializing. In addition, faculty members are charged with many teaching, research, clinical and service responsibilities which can lead to burnout. These challenges may negatively affect how someone may manage everyday responsibilities and daily interactions with colleagues and the audiences being served. Using positive psychology-based interventions can be a helpful way to navigate these challenges and mitigate potential negative outcomes. This interactive workshop will provide you with the background and application of positive psychology principles that can be implemented into regular daily practice.
