Youth group this week: better discipleship through anime! A cyborg hero-in-training. His bald teacher, who can eliminate his foes with a single punch. What do these characters have in common with Jesus and the twelve disciples? Come find out this Sunday!
THANK YOU for Kenya Night!    The Outreach Committee is absolutely thrilled to report that the 3rd Annual Kenya Night for Nyumbani was a huge success! The theme of the event was Launching Lives – Life after Nyumbani. Thanks to your generosity, we raised almost $6,000 to support a new Entrepreneurship and Career Center for graduates of Nyumbani Home, an orphanage for abandoned HIV+ children in Kenya. Through the Center, graduates receive guidance in the transition to mainstream employment while managing the stigma of HIV.
The beautifully decorated undercroft and entrances, the delicious dinner, the gorgeous handmade crafts, creative activities for the children, the music that got (almost) everyone on the dance floor, the fellowship and the Kenyan culture – we had it all!!! It could not have been more fun.
Thank you Christ Church for helping the children of Nyumbani on their journey to independence and self-sufficiency. What an awesome community you are!
