Dr. Joanne Allen, Sr. Professorial Lecturer of Art History at American University, will give a presentation on “Architecture of Washington D.C., A European Capital City.” The cost of the lunch is $10.00. Jay Hall Carpenter speaking at Christ Church on Monday, Nov. 11 at 10AM!!
Here is a rare opportunity to listen to Jay Hall Carpenter, sculptor for the National Cathedral. His career spans forty years and he has designed over 500 exterior sculptures, many in garden settings, including the Jim Henson Memorial at the University of Maryland and the Virginia Patriots in Leesburg, VA. He will show images of his work and offer his strategies for placing garden sculptures for the most pleasing effect. Jay's beautiful Angel, Ascend to Heaven, graces the Columbarium at Christ Church.
