Stay NJ program, a new initiative introduced by the State of New Jersey to provide meaningful and real property tax relief for senior homeowners. Beginning in 2026, eligible residents aged 65 and older may receive a reimbursement of up to 50% off their property tax bill, with a maximum annual benefit of $6,500. To qualify, homeowners must have owned and occupied their primary residence in New Jersey for the entire calendar year of 2024 and have an annual income of $500,000 or less. If you are under the age of 65, but are receiving Federal Social Security Disability, you will also be able to qualify for the Stay NJ program. Please note that mobile homeowners are not eligible for this particular program.

Christ Church member, Anna Rose Gable, held a discussion of challenges facing Christ Church's undocumented neighbors. Click the button below to learn about various ways to get involved in efforts to provide relief.

Blessings of the Backpacks!

Join Christ Church on

Sunday, September 7

for our annual

Blessings of the Backpacks!

It is time for the Christ Church September RaiseRight Order!

Paul Ambos will be placing a new card order on the morning of Monday, September 8. Please place your orders accordingly. If you plan to mail an order with a check, please (a) mail it by Wednesday, September 3, or, better, (b) advise Paul by email when you mail it of what your order is so that he can place it on time despite possible Post Office delays. Or, if you place your own order directly on the RaiseRight website or app, Paul will be able to see it there when I order the monthly batch.

You can avoid writing a check by using their payment options through your checking account of credit card (checking costs a 29 cent charge per order; credit cards charge a percentage that is usually more). And if you want physical cards delivered directly to your home, you can do that through the app, although you will be charged for delivery. If you order for delivery through me, the church covers the delivery charge.

Hey there, key holders!

Do you have keys to the building? We’re doing a little “key inventory” and want to know who’s got the magic touch! If you have a key, we would love to hear from you.

Please email the office (admin@christchurchnewbrunswick.org) and let us know:

· What type of key(s) you have

(e.g., front door, all-access, etc.)

Help us keep things secure and organized. Thanks for being part of the team!

The Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) and the Office of Government Relations (OGR) have launched a new Immigration Action Toolkit page on the Episcopal Church website.

This toolkit consolidates a wide range of resources in one place, making it a go-to destination for immigration information. While some resources focus on the Episcopal Church's response to the current situation, it also includes helpful links on topics like Family Preparedness and Know Your Rights, which are valuable to people of all faiths or none at all.

To stay updated on this ever-evolving issue and hear from knowledgeable

experts, a 30-minute weekly webinar is available. You can register here.

We invite people to testify if they are prayerfully led and also encourage them to send their prayer requests in advance if they wish. Some attendees come prepared from time to time to not only testify, but to give a word of encouragement.
