Beit Midrash w/ Rav Amelia: Is football kosher?

Wednesday, November 20, 7:00 - 8:30 PM

No, we're not just talking about the pigskin. Can Jews play football? Can we even watch it? Will the rabbi survive a confrontation with the hardcore football fans of CEH? Tune in to find out!

Pajama Havdalah

Saturday, November 23, 5:30 - 7:00 PM

Families with young children (0-6 years old) are invited to join us as we come together to bring Shabbat to a close, through the beautiful Jewish tradition of Havdalah. There will be food, fun, and a chance for children to make their own spice containers to bring home.

Location: Arlington (Address will be sent to registrants the day before.)

This event is sponsored through a grant from The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.

Science Fiction Book Group Meeting

Sunday, December 8, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Join us at CEH to discuss The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester. This classic science fiction book is a modern retelling of revenge tale The Count of Monte Cristo with a fast pace, thrilling action, and a completely irredeemable main character. Copies of the book are available in the public library and CEH office.

Write a Review for Our Preschool!

Are you a current or past Etz Hayim Preschool parent? If so, please click here and take a few minutes to write a positive review about your experience on our new preschool Google Maps listing.

If your child is a current student or a preschool graduate, they can leave a review too! Every review helps publicize and promote our preschool to prospective parents. Not a writer? Leaving a 5-star review helps too!

Help Our Community

Chesed Community

CEH's Chesed Community is here to help you. Members serve other members as a “kindness community,” providing assistance with anything from dog-walking after surgery to providing meals while sitting shiva to providing temporary care for a family member so the caregiver can run errands.

To activate the Chesed Community (either far-in-advance or on an emergency basis), e-mail chesed@etzhayim.net. If this concerns the passing of a family member, please contact the Rabbi first.

Mazel Tov Moments

Each month we will be celebrating the special occasions of CEH members in an email. If you have a Mazel Tov Moment to include for yourself, a family member, or a CEH friend, please submit here.

All previous editions of Mazel Tov Moments are posted in the Member Portal, under Publications.
