Hello Friends,

As we continue to stay safe in our homes I will share the latest updates on church life each week in this email:

  • The church building will remain closed until the shelter-in-place mandate is lifted. Our Sunday services will be available on Facebook and our website each Sunday at 10:15 am. Remember these services can be watched at the time of the service and again afterwards for those who missed it.

Click on the service to print out a bulletin to follow along:
  • 4/26/20 Worship @ 10:15 am
  • Special music will be performed by Matthew Wehr, Darin Jellison, and Connor Licairac
  • Special thanks to all the musicians taking part in our services, to Noah and Autumn Kandt for reading scriptures, to Autumn for recording the service and editing, and to Darin for uploading them for all of you to watch.

Pie Sunday will be held this Sunday at 12 noon. Details are below.

Is there someone in your life in need of prayer?  Click  here  to fill out a prayer request form and Pastor Bruce will mention that person’s first name during worship ( beginning next Sunday ). Please be sensitive to privacy. Permission to share from those involved must be granted before making a request.

Please be safe, stay inside as much as necessary, and remain healthy.

Blessings,
Pastor Bruce
This Covid-19 Pandemic has taken so much away from us but it doesn’t have to! You know that one of my favorite Sundays of the year is ... PIE SUNDAY ! We had to cancel Pie Sunday last month but I am suggesting we go ahead with a ZOOM Pie Sunday on April 26 th at 12:00 noon.
This is what you need to do to participate:
  1. Down load Zoom (just Google Zoom) onto your computer, tablet, or smart phone. Zoom is a platform that will enable you to chat with and see others.
  2. Send me your email address to pastorbruce@faithchurchucc.org. I will add you to the list of participants. It is ESSENTIAL that you send me your email in order to participate.
  3. Bake yourself a pie.
  4. On Saturday the 25th, if you have given me your email address as a participant you will get an email from me that contains a link to our Zoom Pie Sunday.
  5. On Sunday at noon, grab a piece of pie, then using the link that I sent you the day before, sign onto Zoom.
  6. Enjoy a visit with your fellow church members as we enjoy our respective pies!
  7. Pray that the technology gods are thinking fondly upon us!

Nothing should stop us from enjoying PIE SUNDAY and while it won’t be the same as being together in the same place at the same time at least there won’t be any tables and chairs to put away or a kitchen to clean up!
In trying to keep up with our contributions to the UCC 5 for 5 Special offerings we would like you to prayerfully consider giving what you are able to One Great Hour of Sharing . This collection is usually taken in March but has been overlooked due to the current circumstances. Contributions may be sent to the church along with your offerings designated OGHS. You may also contribute through Tithe.ly and designate as OGHS.
Through the One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) offering, we are planting seeds of new life.

Together, we are investing in communities worldwide: providing education to girls and boys, empowering communities through vocational training, supporting microcredit lending and seeing people through to self-sufficiency, empowering families with skills to support themselves and their neighbors, and participating in sustainable solutions that offer dignity to all. These are just a few ways the OGHS offering touches God’s children, in addition to disaster relief and refugee initiatives.

Through your generosity, the world is a better place. But more is needed. Today, you have an opportunity to plant seeds into the lives of others. Be a co-worker with God. Building, planting, watering…and trusting that God gives growth to all good gifts shared in faith. Thank you for your partnership. Thank you for your generosity.

A Special THANK YOU to all who continue to financially support our ministry as you are able. Through these uncertain times our financial obligations continue and our regular bills are still coming in. Again we'd like to remind you there are several ways you can do this:

  1. Mail your offering directly to the church ***(at this time the mail is being forwarded to Sandy's "home office" and the church mailbox is not being checked on a regular basis so it may not be safe to place your envelopes in the church mailbox)***
  2. Make an electronic donation through Tithe.ly on our website's Giving page
  3. Use your bank's Bill Pay service
