Sacred Conversation on Race

A riot is the language of the unheard. - Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
If this is true, and I think it is, then I want to start listening and I invite you to listen with me.

To that end, I want to invite you to start an ongoing Sacred Conversation on Race and to willingly enter into the particular aspect of the conversation that focuses attention on White Privilege in its manifestations and impact.

If you are like me, the first time I heard the term White Privilege I became angry and defensive. As of late, I have been able to listen to and begin to understand my brothers and sisters whose skin is a different color than mine. I have much more to learn. Would you join me?

This Monday night, July 13 th at 7:00 via Zoom we will start this Sacred Conversation. It will be a safe place to express what you feel, ask questions, and listen to voices that have yet to be heard. We will finish when we finish but no later than 8:30 and we will continue to meet on Monday evenings until there is nothing left to say. Please don’t feel that you have to commit to each and every session. Participate as you can.

So, are you in? Please be open to this challenge. Promise to come to these conversations with open hearts and open minds. Commit to new insights that will lead to new alignments. Admittedly, listening to the pain of others is a painful process but we cannot close our ears.  Let me know so I can be sure to send you a Zoom invite.
Dear Friends,
We have been so blessed to have the participation and support from so many which has allowed us to assist individuals and families who are in need due to serious medical issues.
For our final year we want to say that we could not have done it without the help of so many and a BIG thank you!!

Consider Donating
Thank you to everyone who continue to generously support our Missions.

Currently, FOOD DONATIONS for Betty Lou's Pantry are needed more than monetary donations so we ask you to focus on helping to stock the pantry shelves. The pantry's food resources have been stretched to cover the extra demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Most needed items are:
Condensed Soup, Hearty Soups, Canned Pasta
Tuna Helper, Canned Tomato Products, Toilet Paper

Food donations are accepted at Betty Lou's Pantry each Wednesday between 9-10 am. You can also drop your donations off at the Coopersburg and Center Valley Post Offices.
Our Mission Team usually meets their mission pledges with the proceeds from the Spring and Fall Bingo events. Because both events have been cancelled for this year due to COVID-19, they ask you to prayerfully consider how you may be able to help.

Currently, they are working on fulfilling the following pledges:

One Great Hour of Sharing ($600 pledged; $324 received to date)

SLA Samaritan Fund ($800 pledged; $50 received to date)

Thank you again to all of you for your generous support of our missions!!

For those of you who donate through, the current pledge designations will continue to be updated on the giving page.
We've received a few calls recently asking if we have any copies available of the original Faith Cookbook that was put together many, many years ago. We do not have any left but wondered if anyone has extras or has one in decent condition they are no longer using and would like to pass on. If so please let Sandy know by calling the church office and leaving a message. Thanks!
The Lawn Crew still has several open dates on the schedule. Please consider helping - If you can help or have questions please contact Tim Hovis at 484-223-9476.
A Special THANK YOU to all who continue to financially support our ministry as you are able. Through these uncertain times our financial obligations continue and our regular bills are still coming in. Again we'd like to remind you there are several ways you can do this:

  1. Mail your offering directly to the church
  2. Make an electronic donation through on our website's Giving page
  3. Use your bank's Bill Pay service
