I will be on vacation from Monday, July 27 – Sunday, August 9 . During this time if you find yourself in need of pastoral care you may contact the Rev. Christian Creyer, Pastor of Chestnut Hill Church, at 484-866-5229.

For worship on August 2 nd and 9 th the Worship Committee suggests that you
re-visit our website, our Facebook, or our YouTube page and enjoy one of the previously recorded services of worship. Call it “ The Best of Bruce ” if something such as that really exists!

The Sacred Conversation About Race will resume on Monday, August 10 at 7:00, via Zoom. Please remain cautious, safe, and healthy.

Blessings,
Pastor Bruce

Dear Friends,

While the church building remains closed I will continue to work from home. I do check my voicemail several times a day during the week so please don't hesitate to leave a message if you have questions or find yourself in need of something. I will get back to you and help in any way I can!

I miss you stopping by the office, catching up on life, and seeing your smiling faces!! I do look forward to the time when we can visit again. Please stay safe, healthy and happy until that time comes:)

Sandy
Letter from our Conference Minister

Dear friends,

I have only one request for you today. Be kind to yourself. This tumultuous time has been so very challenging for us as individuals, churches, communities, and a nation. Who would have thought that 2020 would bring a pandemic; protests against racism, police actions; deployed Federal agents in our cities? It’s more than any of us could have imagined.

All that being said, those of us who are caregivers of families, congregations, and communities, are stretched and stressed beyond our capacity. My suggestion is that we take a moment to go comet watching, bird watching, wading in the water, staring at the flowers, breathing in the life that is around us. Breathe my friends – breathe and be. You are enough.

Blessings,
Bonnie
Fall Yard Sale !
Saturday, September 12th, 8 am—2 pm
Vendors Welcome
—$10 space

Items to be donated can be dropped off on the stage in Fellowship Hall beginning Sunday, August 16th . The Fundraising committee is requesting that donated items are in good shape and sellable. We would like to concentrate our time on sorting and pricing, so if you think it is worth something then donate it, but if it is bordering on trash, then please dispose of it and save us time. Thank you ahead of time for your help with this part of the yard sale. To volunteer, please contact Ruth Smith @ 610-797-4635. (NO TV’s or Computers.)
HAVE ANY EXTRA ORIGINAL FAITH COOKBOOKS?
We've received a few calls recently asking if we have any copies available of the original Faith Cookbook that was put together many, many years ago. We do not have any left but wondered if anyone has extras or has one in decent condition they are no longer using and would like to pass on. If so please let Sandy know by calling the church office and leaving a message. Thanks!
Thank you to everyone who continue to generously support our Missions.

Currently, FOOD DONATIONS for Betty Lou's Pantry are needed more than monetary donations so we ask you to focus on helping to stock the pantry shelves. The pantry's food resources have been stretched to cover the extra demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

MOST NEEDED:
CHUNKY SOUPS
CANNED RAVIOLI/PASTA

Food donations are accepted at Betty Lou's Pantry each Wednesday between 9-10 am . You can also drop your donations off at the Coopersburg and Center Valley Post Offices.
Our Mission Team usually meets their mission pledges with the proceeds from the Spring and Fall Bingo events. Because both events have been cancelled for this year due to COVID-19, they ask you to prayerfully consider how you may be able to help.

Currently, they are working on fulfilling the following pledges:

Thank you again to all of you for your generous support of our missions!!

For those of you who donate through Tithe.ly, the current pledge designations will continue to be updated on the giving page.
Dear Friends,
We have been so blessed to have the participation and support from so many which has allowed us to assist individuals and families who are in need due to serious medical issues.
For our final year we want to say that we could not have done it without the help of so many and a BIG thank you!!
Sincerely,
The COB Team
