PENSACON is coming back to First Church!
February 20 - 22
This February, First Church will welcome thousands of Pensacon visitors from across the Pensacola area and beyond. Pensacon is the Gulf Coast’s premier comic and pop-culture convention, and last year alone we hosted more than 5,000 guests on our campus.
Several ministries—including Missions, Youth, and Youth Choir—will be selling parking and concessions. To make this weekend possible, we need 148 volunteers and 116 concession donations. This is one of our largest volunteer efforts of the year—and we need you to be part of it. There are two important ways you can help support these ministries and extend hospitality to our community:
1) volunteer to be a greeter, concessions worker, or parking attendant during any of the eight shifts that weekend, and several pre-Pensacon prep shifts, by clicking HERE.
2) volunteer to provide some of the concessions we will sell by clicking HERE.

Joe Harrell Bible Study & Lunch
2nd & 4th Wednesdays | Noon | The Wright Place, Dining Hall
Looking to grow spiritually, understand God’s Word more fully, and be in fellowship with other men? If so, the Joe Harrell Men’s Bible Study Lunch may be for you.
This small group meets twice a month for lunch and informal discussion. Lunch is $10, with your first lunch free. Founded over 50 years ago by longtime FUMC leader and local attorney Joe Harrell, this group has a rich history of gathering men around Scripture and fellowship. Today, the group is sponsored by United Methodist Men and continues to welcome new participants. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the group studies the Lectionary Scriptures used in Sunday worship; often the same texts preached from the pulpit, allowing members to reflect more deeply together in an open, conversational setting. As one member says, “Fellowship is the reason I come.”
Questions? Call or text Frank Brown (850-361-9098), Tim Price-Williams (850-572-6516), or Dixon Moseley (850-501-8665).

Commit this season to reading scripture each day. It's good practice. If you don’t already have a daily devotion, the scriptures below are designed to expand the range of biblical reading in worship and personal devotion. You can find them in the bulletin each week. The Daily Readings are taken from “The Daily Office Lectionary” in The Book of Common Prayer, Year 2. Read the Bible each week. It will be a blessing.
