Summer Office Hours

Effectively this week, we have transitioned to Summer Office hours. Consequently, the church office will be open 9am-4pm on Monday-Thursday, and will be closed on Fridays.

Family Pool Party

First Pres families are invited to celebrate the end of the school year with a pool party at the Damadio home on Sunday, May 31 from noon - 2pm. We are excited for this fun time for preschool and elementary aged families to play and have some start of summer fun together! Note that parents will be responsible for the safety of their children during this event, so everyone should dress prepared to get wet! Please RSVP here, at the Sign up tab on the church website and talk to Sara Pantazes or Diane Damadio with any questions.

Youth Group End-Of-Year Party

Our final Youth Group for the school year will be on May 31. We are going to celebrate with an end-of-year Youth Group party from 4-6pm in the youth room! There will be games, prizes, food, dessert, and of course, Hawk! Come out for this special day of fun and celebration!

Youth Summer 2026 Kick Off Party

Our Youth Summer 2026 Kick-off Party is right around the corner! We will have a pool party at the Damadio's house on Sunday June 7 from 3-6pm. Please sign up at the below link, so we know how much food to bring.

VBS & Music Adventure Camp - Still Time To Register

We are excited to offer a week of summer fun to the kids of First Pres and our community! Join us for the week of July 20-24 for VBS in the morning and Music Adventure Camp in the afternoon. Kids can sign up to attend either or both! It will be a great week of faith-filled fun, playing, friends and, of course, music!

For more information and to register, click on "VBS/Music Adventure Camp" on the Sign-up tab of the church's website or talk to Director of Faith Formation Sara Pantazes or Children's Music Director Laura Moreschi.

Clean Milk or Water Jugs Still Needed

This summer's VBS has a winter theme, so to help bring winter to life, we are building an igloo out of milk and water jugs! We'll need several hundred jugs to make this a reality, so please bring in your 1-gallon plastic milk or water jugs and leave them in the bin on the stage in Fellowship Hall. They need to be completely clean and dry so that Fellowship Hall doesn't smell like spoiled milk all summer! Talk to Sara Pantazes with any questions.

The igloo is under construction

Seeking New Nursery Assistant

First Pres is seeking to hire a new Nursery Assistant. This position is a low time commitment and pays competitive childcare rates. Please spread the word! If you know someone who might be interested, please direct them to our Job Openings webpage or to Director of Faith Formation, Sara Pantazes.

Presbyterian Paddles

Do you play pickleball? First Pres players will be meeting up this summer for this popular activity! We’ll meet on Wednesday mornings for four weeks (July 1-22) from 7:30-9am at Lambert Park (1145 Pottstown Pike, WC – next to Wawa). This group activity is best suited for intermediate and advanced players who have playing experience. Sign up online and join the fun!

Prayers

Thursday First Pres Prayers

This Month’s Prayer Request:

God of warmth and new life, we give thanks for the beauty of this world you’ve made and sustain. For those who are fearful and hemmed in, we pray for safety and resurrection. For all who struggle, we pray for your peace. Let this world reflect your glory in all we say, and all we do. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Each week we pray for our congregation at 12:00pm on Thursdays.

Set an alarm or schedule it in your calendar to join us! You don’t need to only pray for the topic of the week, but you can continue to pray for previous topics as well or anything that God lays on your heart.

For those who would like to set up time to meet one-on-one with someone to navigate a time of transition or difficulty, Stephen Ministers are here to help.

Prayer Requests

If you would like to add a prayer (in joy or in time of need) to our Prayer Band, complete the website form, send an email, or call the church at the number below.
