Digital VBS

Dates:  Sunday, June 21 - Thursday, June 25
Time:  Anytime of day your family wants
Ages:  3 years to rising 5th graders
Cost:  FREE!

Although the COVID-19 epidemic has limited our ability to gather in person this summer, First Pres is committed to still providing a fun, faith-enriching Vacation Bible School. This year’s “Digital VBS” will contain all the great pieces of VBS that kids look forward to but will be completed in each participant’s home. Features of this year's program include:
  • A daily video containing opening and closing assemblies, an interactive Bible story time and two activities to help your kids explore the meaning of each day's Bible story
  • One live Zoom call with all participants on the last evening of the program
  • An in-person party (hopefully) at the end of the summer to celebrate

We’re excited to include children of all physical, developmental, and sensory abilities, and will work with families to ensure that the program is accessible for all.
Stephen Ministry Connections
The reality of COVID-19 has created fear, stress and anxiety for people in all walks of life ~ underscoring the need for caring support of one another. Stephen Ministry is one of the ways First Pres is equipped to provide this kind of support, even at this time of social distancing. Currently, there are trained Stephen Ministers ready to be matched with a church or community member who is going through a rough time. Through safe means of communication, they are ready to meet weekly on a one-to-one basis, to share in one's journey, listen without judgment and provide emotional and spiritual support in a completely confidential relationship. If you or someone you know would like to be matched with a Stephen Minister, please contact one of the SM Referrals Coordinators: Rev. Caroline Cupp, (484) 459-8220 or Mary Pellack, (610) 570-0886.
Ginny Bauder Organ To Arrive This Week!
The Ginny Bauder Memorial Organ will arrive this week! Once it is here, we will take pictures and post them to our Facebook page and the website. While there was a dedication concert planned for early May, it has been postponed until the fall. However, it will be featured in next week's mini-concert on Tuesday (also on Facebook, YouTube, and the website). Pictures of the organ before it shipped are up on the website currently!
A New Baby!
We are happy to announce the birth of Aubrey Frances Mueller, born April 15, 2020, daughter of Kevin and Becky Coyle Mueller and granddaughter of Dick and Martha Coyle.
Communication Schedule
While we can't physically be together, we'd like to stay in touch as much as possible. There are a few regular pieces of communication we wanted to make you aware of. You can access all the following studies, emails, concerts, etc. on our coronavirus updates page by clicking the button below.

  1. Monday Live Devotional: Pastor Caroline will be leading a short, 5-ish minute devotional on our Facebook page each Monday at noon!
  2. Tuesday Mini-Concerts: Each Tuesday, our music staff and a few volunteers will be putting together brief concerts for you to watch and enjoy.
  3. Wednesday Weekly Email: This has always happened, but be sure to catch the latest updates each Wednesday!
  4. Thursday Facebook Live Bible Study (Pastors): Every Thursday at 12:00 p.m., we'll go live on the church's Facebook page with a Bible study looking at the coming Sunday's scripture reading. The preaching pastor will lead the study and guide us as we prepare for the weekend's worship service.
  5. Friday Coffee With The Pastor: On Fridays from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m., Greg will be in a Zoom room to connect with anyone that wants to participate. Brew your own coffee or tea and jump online to discuss anything that's on your mind or to connect with other members of the congregation while we're physically distant.
  6. Weekend Update: Each weekend our pastors will be sending a reminder about the coming Sunday's worship service with a little note of encouragement.

During this ever-changing season, we want to make sure you have all the resources you need to stay connected to and informed about First Pres happenings. The three main ways we'll communicate are via email , Facebook , and our website . We have dedicated a page ( ) on our website to keep the latest news, videos, and updates as we try to stay connected during this time.
Several of you have asked about how to give your offering while we are worshiping online. One way is by giving your offering online via our secure credit card portal. To give online simply click on the button below. You can always give by mailing a check to 130 W Miner St, West Chester, PA 19382 . We will process those offerings once a week.
We also know this is a time of uncertainty for many. If this is your situation, please know the church is here for you. Reach out if we can help in any way.
