Tuesday, February 11 | Drop-In Discussion: Open Topic Nite with Rev. Lane-Mairead
This month Rev. Lane-Mairead will begin by quickly reviewing our drop-in discussion covenants and then take questions, comments, and suggestions regarding the life and ministry of First Universalist of Rochester. All are welcome to gather in the spirit of a free and responsible mutual search for truth and meaning. Drop-in Discussions meet via Zoom on Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm. Look on the First Universalist homepage for details and a link, or click the Zoom meeting link in this blurb title!
Thursday, February 13 | Eastman at Washington Square: Love All Around
Eastman at Washington Square Concerts are in our sanctuary on Thursdays from 12:15 to 12:45pm. February 13 is “Love All Around”: Come and enjoy music from the heart as Jessica Ann Best and Irina Lupines present love songs from different parts of the world. Admission is free!
Sunday, February 16 | Social Justice Plate: Person-Centered Housing Options (PCHO)
Our February Social Justice Plate Offering is designated for Person-Centered Housing Options (PCHO). Person-Centered Housing Options was founded in 2015 by Nicholas Coulter and Charlie Albanese to address chronic homelessness in their hometown of Rochester, New York. PCHO combines innovative approaches to providing housing with essential supportive services that engage individuals and families in health care, community relationships, and activities that support recovery and employment, but none of this is possible without a home. PCHO provides outreach, housing, and care management services to the Monroe County community. Please contribute as generously as you can to support this important work. For more info, visit pcho.org.
We Did it Again!
Our Groundhog Day Service Auction was a big success! Thanks so much to all who donated, bid, helped, and joined in the fun. We had a great lunch, SO many participants, lots of laughs, AND we raised about $6,000 to support our church’s programs. Be sure to check out the list of unsold items on the Auction page on the website (uuroc.org/auction), and email auction@uuroc.org if you’d like to buy one.
Come and Sing with Us!
Have you ever been interested in being a part of more contemporary worship music? Stick around after the service for 15 minutes to come sing with Brock, Melissa, and others. There are no expectations to join this group, but we would like to explore all kinds of new music with whoever might be interested!
