Our month-long theme is Universalism and we will kick off a 3-part sermon series by addressing the Universalism of our past. What is the religious tradition we come out of? How does our history inform who we are today?

Thursday, Feb. 7 | Eastman at Washington Square Concerts
Eastman at Washington Square Concerts Concerts are held at our church at lunch time on Thursdays. Each concert begins at 12:15pm and ends at approximately 12:45pm. Come and hear the "Brasso Profundo", a small ensemble of Tubas and Euphoniums from Eastman School of Music 's New Horizons Program. Enjoy a variety of styles including pop, classical, jazz, Broadway, and other well-known favorites. Admission is free. Bring your brown bag lunch and join us!

Sunday, Feb. 10 | Transgender & Non-binary Panel
Join a panel of transgender and non-binary people hosted by the Out Alliance on February 10 at Noon in our Sanctuary. Bring your questions and come hear stories and experiences of transgender and gender non-conforming people.

Sunday, Feb. 10 | Farmworker's Rights Town Hall
Rural & Migrant Ministry invites you to a regional Town Hall event from to support the passage of the Farmworker Fair Labor Practices Act. Join the conversation as experts and New York State farmworkers discuss the injustice that farm workers across the state are still subjugated to. Learn more about the Farmworker Fair Labor Practices Act here . Held in our sanctuary from 2-4pm.

Saturday, Feb. 23 | The Path to Membership
If you are thinking of becoming a member of First Universalist Church, please place Saturday, February 23 9am-Noon on your calendar. Learn about the amazing range of opportunities and faith development open to you. Brunch will be served in between informational and interactive sessions. Children are welcome; please let us know beforehand for planning purposes.   • The life of Suzanne McNamara will be celebrated at First Unitarian Church on March 2 at 10:30am. The McNamara Family has been an important presence in our church.
  • Pat Stott fell on the ice, breaking her wrist. Cards and calls welcome!
  • Barbara Ward is often housebound, and welcomes calls and cards.

  • Lisa Gwinner is recovering from two surgeries on her back, the second was unplanned but necessary. She hopes to come home early this week. Cards are welcome!
