10:30am Sunday Service | Moving at the Speed of Trust
Author and activist adrienne maree brown writes about moving at the speed of trust in her work around group process. What does this mean to us at First Universalist Church?
Speaker: Rev. Lane Campbell

We are cancelling in-person worship for the foreseeable future, and taking our worship experience completely online via Zoom. We will hold on-line services each Sunday at 10:30am (our regular time).
Upcoming Events &
Additional Announcements
Note: Our "This Week" emails may be a bit longer than usual, as we are shifting the written announcements in our Order of Service to this email!

Tuesdays | Drop-In Discussion: Not So Fast, Utopia Boy!
Many of our discussions have been about solving the world's biggest problems, like war, overpopulation and the climate crises. But human beings are flawed. We will continue to struggle against the ills of the moment, but cannot resolve them. Hank Stone and Eileen Fernandez will offer their different perspectives. Drop-In Discussions are back with a virtual spin! We are meeting on Tuesday night, from 6:30-7:30pm. Contact DropInDiscussion@uuroc.org for the Zoom link!

Wednesdays | Midweek Meditation
First Universalist Church will be hosting Midweek Meditation services with Rev. Lane and Rev. Michelle on Wednesdays from 11:30am-Noon. Just a brief time to connect for deep breathing, meditation, singing, and silence. Look on the First Universalist homepage for details and a link!

Sundays | Coffee Hour after Service
First Universalist Church will be hosting their usual MOCHA coffee hour after each of our Zoom Sunday Services! Find the link in our weekly email with the worship service link, or email office@uuroc.org for the link ( please do not email for the link after the service has begun on Sunday, it may not be responded to in time ).

Small Group Ministry Openings
The small groups have decided to meet on Zoom through the summer, to gather for sharing and spiritual companionship. The Thursday evening group meets every other Thursday from 7-8:30pm, and has two openings available. If you are interested, please email Rev. Michelle at edu@uuroc.org as soon as possible as we want to settle in new members by the June 25 meeting.

2020 General Assembly | June 24-28
Regarding this year's General Assembly this month, the UUA has voted enthusiastically to hold the conference online: More than 2,000 people had already pre-registered before this period of physical distancing. If you are interested in becoming a delegate, please contact Joy Leccese for more info. Email coachingjoy@gmail.com, or office@uuroc.org.

Calling All Musicians!
As we begin summer services on June 28, we are asking YOU to share your musical gifts. All voices and instruments are welcome. Participants should be able and willing to share their music from home. This can be done live over Zoom, or in the form of a pre-recorded performance. If you are interested and need an accompaniment track our music director can record one in advance. Please contact our Music Director, Brock Tjosvold, at music@uuroc.org for more information.

Help Our Summer Garden!
Call for garden watering. The front garden is blooming and we will need waterers starting in July. Please contact Sarah at garden@uuroc.org .

June 1 to July 31 | RAIHN Matching Donation Fund
Help support families in need! While congregations are closed due to COVID-19, RAIHN* is still supporting houseless families including housing some in a cost-efficient motel. Funds are needed to
support the effort. An anonymous donor will match up to $3000 in gifts to RAIHN made between June 1 and July 31. This will be a tremendous help to families in need. Please consider a
donation. To donate online, go to the uuroc.org website and click on the donate button at the bottom of the homepage. In the “write a note” section under the donation amount please write “ RAIHN First Universalist”. Checks can also be made out to First Universalist with “ RAIHN First UU” on the memo line. Contact Marti Eggers, Ed Deller, Chris DeGolyer or Connie Valk for more details.
