Join us next Sunday
Sept. 13, 2020
This is our first 10:30am Fall Service!

10:30am Sunday Service | Gathering At the River
Let the rivers of life flow through us, even in moments when life looks strange or different. First Universalist's annual water ceremony ingathering will tell a story of where we have been and where we are going. Please send a picture of your favorite water spot (lake, ocean, river, puddle, or wherever) to minister@uuroc.org.

Speaker: Rev. Lane Campbell

Due to COVID-19 we will be holding our worship services online
for the foreseeable future. We will hold on-line services
each Sunday at 10:30am (our regular worship time).

Tuesdays | Drop-In Discussion: Open Topic
Now that we have "survived" summer, what is on your mind as we approach fall? Do you want to discuss the prior Sunday's sermon? Do you want to discuss something other than the upcoming election? Or do you need to get those election worries off you chest? Or is there something entirely different that we have neglected to address? Join us and let's see where our time together takes us! Drop-In Discussions are back with a virtual spin! We are meeting on Tuesday nights, from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Contact DropInDiscussion@uuroc.org for the Zoom link!

Wednesdays Beginning Sept. 9 | Midweek Meditation
First Universalist Church will be hosting Midweek Meditation services with Rev. Lane and Rev. Michelle on Wednesdays from 11:30am-Noon beginning again on September 9. Just a brief time to connect for deep breathing, meditation, singing, and silence. Look on the First Universalist homepage for details and a link, or click the Zoom meeting link on the title of this description!

Join our new Facebook group: Black Lives Matter at First Universalist!
We invite everyone to join our new Facebook group, BLM at First Universalist. This group will be a resource center for members and friends to share BLM local resources and events! To find it look on the First Universalist Facebook page, and click the community tab, or click the link in the title of this blurb! Email office@uuroc.org if you have any trouble finding it. Note: you must have a Facebook account to join this group.

Ongoing Garden Needs!
  • Compost (if you compost with bin swap and don’t have a yard, we could take your bagged product!)
  • Extra mulch or soil you can’t use.
  • Extra tiger lilies overgrowing your garden!
Please contact Sarah at garden@uuroc.org.
Joys & Sorrows
Please send your Joys and Sorrows to be read at our Sunday Worship service to JoysandSorrows@uuroc.org.

Note: When you email a joy or sorrow to us, you are giving us permission to read it aloud at our Sunday service and possibly publish it in this weekly email. Thank you!

Both:

  • A Joy and Sorrow from Joyce and Dick Gilbert: We remember attending the 1963 March on Washington and hope the current march will have as positive an impact.
