Tuesday, April 30 | Drop-In Discussion: Paying it Forward: Striving for Equal Access Through Music
The Music Committee and our Music Director, Dr. Brock Tjosvold, will lead a session about their new "Paying it Forward" partnership with ROCmusic. This session will re-introduce Rachel Mills, Executive and Artistic Director of ROCmusic. Rachel will talk about the mission of ROCmusic, which is to provide "equal access to exceptional music education and performance experiences to youth residing in the city of Rochester." Thursday, May 2 | Eastman at Washington Square: "A Time To Remember"
Eastman at Washington Square Concerts take place on Thursdays at 12:15 to 12:45pm in our sanctuary. May 2 is "A Time To Remember": Spend an afternoon with a preview of Eastman's Holocaust Remembrance Concert. Works by Jewish composers who died in or survived the atrocities of WWII will be performed by Eastman faculty and students in a concert to mark Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) on Sunday, May 5 at 7:30pm in Kilbourn Hall. Admission is free!

Saturday, May 4 | Walking Tour of Washington Square Neighborhood
This tour, sponsored by the F.I.R.E. team of First Universalist, discusses the history of the Washington Square Neighborhood. The tour will begin at Rundel Library at 1:30pm, finishing up at Dinosaur BBQ around 3pm. Refreshments will be served in the Clara Barton Lounge afterwards. We in the United States have come to accept perpetual war as normal. Hundred of thousands of people have died in these wars, including thousands of Americans. What purpose does the U.S. war policy serve? Is it sustainable? Can it be stopped? Held at 9:15am in the Chalice Room, led by Phil Ebersole.

If you are a leader at First Universalist or if you would like to become a leader, join us for our bi-monthly Leadership Assembly Thursday, May 9, at 7pm. This month, leaders will be talking about how to collaborate and communicate effectively with one another as well as new initiatives to grow the membership of First Universalist. Our leaders are encouraged to communicate with one another and to get on the same page about initiatives, goals, and priorities. These important conversations and collaborative spaces will happen every other month from 7-8:30pm in the Chalice Room and online.
