10:30am Sunday Service: Stories of the Black Madonna

"God is a woman and she is Black." —Alessandra Belloni

In Southern Italy, there are many Black Madonnas—depictions of Mary and Jesus as dark Black people. These figures are connected and related to Earth Goddesses of creation and the old traditions. This service connects Mary's journey during Advent with the fertile dark.

Speaker: Rev. Lane-Mairead Campbell

Masking in the First Universalist church building is now optional, please respect any distancing requests by fellow attendees. A mask-required section of the sanctuary is designated for those preferring to stay masked.
