10:30am Sunday Service: All This Joy, All This Sorrow

One cannot have joy without also knowing sorrow. As we sit with the many heartbreaking aspects of our world these days, we are called to hold it all-the ups and downs. How does despair inform joy? And how can we honor both together?

Speaker: Rev. Lane-Mairead Campbell

Masking in the First Universalist church building is optional, please respect any distancing requests.

Tuesday, May 28 | Drop-In Discussion: Death & Dying

Guest presenter Professor Daniel Chadwick returns to discuss these two weighty topics. He will briefly touch on six philosophical approaches to these topics: Metaphysics (the reality), Epistemology (what is known), Ethics, Philosophy of Religion questions, Logic, and Aesthetics. Using these as a lens to scrutinize how we think about death/dying may open up other ways for us to understand this field of investigation. Drop-in Discussions meet via Zoom on Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm. Look on the First Universalist homepage for details and a link, or click the Zoom meeting link in this blurb title!
