Of all the traditional scary monsters, zombies keep reinventing themselves over the past decade. What is it about reanimated corpses and the apocalypse that has captured our interest and imagination? As we explore how this genre connects with our unconscious mind and our deepest fears, what theological challenges are we left with, and how is our UU theology, especially that of the Humanist tradition, on the cutting edge of the drama?
Speaker: Rev. Michelle Yates
Each Sunday in the Chalice Room (second floor).
How much time do we really have? Kate Fleury, from our UU Ecojustice group, will discuss our theme for this year, Reducing Our Carbon Footprint.

NYSCU Annual Meeting
NYSCU NOTES: Food, Glorious Food! When we host the NYSCU Annual Meeting here at church on October 25 and 26, we’ll be showing off our hospitality by providing and serving food. There will be a reception on Friday evening, breakfast on Saturday morning, and lunch on Saturday. We’ll need people to shop, make or pick up food, set up, serve, and clean up (food costs will be reimbursed by NYSCU through the church). Paula Marchese will be heading up the organization of food volunteers, so please contact her if you’re able to help. Many hands make light work, and fun, too!
