Friday, Feb. 7 |Poor People's Campaign MORE Tour featuring Rev. Dr. William Barber III
On Friday, February 7, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church will be hosting the MORE Tour featuring Rev. Dr. William Barber III and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis. The tour is a call to mobilize, organize, register, and educate (MORE) out of a national call for a moral revival. February 7 at 7pm at 141 Adams Street, Rochester, NY 14608.
February 9-16 | Sign Up for RAIHN Week
During RAIHN* Week, February 9-16, we will turn our church into a home for temporarily homeless families. We'll convert our classrooms into bedrooms, cook meals, stay overnight, and provide other help. To join our volunteer team sign up in the lounge after church, or contact Chris DeGolyer (
chrisdeg@frontiernet.net) with questions. If you'd like to learn more before volunteering, we have opportunities to "shadow" experienced volunteers. Sunday, Feb. 16 | Pizza Party and White Caucus
The FIRE Team will hold space for a follow-up discussion from a racial justice training led by Rev. Myra Brown and Melissa Parish this past fall. Reference material will include “I Am Drowning in Whiteness”, a podcast by Ijeoma Oluo plus a summary of material from a structural racism seminar led by Ken Hardy. This will be a space for white people to talk about these materials and educate one another. Pizza and beverages will be provided. For planning purposes, please RSVP to
