June 2 | Drop-In Discussion: What is Patriotism?
Flying the flag? Protesting the flag? Love it or leave it? My country, right or wrong? Rev. Michelle's Sunday sermon was most compelling, and got many of us chatting about it off to the side. There is more to discuss here! Contact
dropindiscussion@uuroc.org for the meeting information!

June 1 to July 31 | RAIHN Matching Donation Fund
Help support families in need! While congregations are closed due to COVID-19, RAIHN* is still supporting houseless families including housing some in a cost-efficient motel. Funds are needed to
support the effort. An anonymous donor will match up to $3000 in gifts to RAIHN made between June 1 and July 31. This will be a tremendous help to families in need. Please consider a
donation. To donate online, go to the uuroc.org website and click on the donate button at the bottom of the homepage. In the “write a note” section under the donation amount please write “
RAIHN First Universalist”. Checks can also be made out to First Universalist with “
RAIHN First UU” on the memo line. Contact Marti Eggers, Ed Deller, Chris DeGolyer or Connie Valk for more details.

From the Zoom Tech Team
Volunteers are needed to help keep our digital worship space running smoothly this summer! There are roles for every level of skill set, from beginner to tech savvy expert. Training is available and serving on the Zoom Tech Team requires moderate knowledge of Zoom. Would you be able to help us out? Contact
minister@uuroc.org
for more info or to put your name on the list of amazing volunteers. Thank you!
From the Caring Committee
Thank you! During this lockdown our need for community became even more essential; the call went out for volunteers to help with errands and deliveries and we have had a solid, enthusiastic response. Many thanks to Karen LoBracco, Heather Menzies Jones, Karen Dau, Brian Mumey, Steve Farrington, Mary Pat O’Hara, Jillian Beaman, and Jim Sittnick; we have added you to our regular list of volunteers. We are indeed a caring community.
Online Giving Made Easy!
To make a plate offering, pledge payment, or other contribution to the church, it’s easier than ever:
- Visit the church website: uuroc.org
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and look on the lower left for the yellow “donate” area.
- Indicate the amount you want to give, and select how you want to pay.
- IMPORTANT: please use the “write a note” option to let us know what your payment is for (pledge or plate offering, for example). This should appear right under the amount of your donation.
- Fill in the rest of the information and submit the donation! You should receive an email receipt soon afterwards.
Thank you for helping us to stay financially healthy while we are together at a distance. And of course, you are always welcome to go “old school” and send a check to the church via US mail!
